While looking for stories and legends to feature in our content, the tale of the Midas Touch came up. The magical power to turn everything one touches into gold is to me a beautiful metaphor for positive transformations - creating values, inspiring success and better lives.
So instead of focusing on the moral warnings about the Midas Touch in the original tale, I am going to sip my coffee and talk about the many gold I have found this month of October.
"There is gold everywhere, most people are not trained to see it." - Robert Kiyosaki
What is more “gold-digging” than starting with a quote from the famous businessman and author who has inspired many with his insights about investment and money.
In the past few weeks, I have done my fair-bit “gold-digging” to find new partners related to gold. First is the old, reputable, award-winning private investigation and security firm GoldenEye, founded by an industry veteran Mr Masbollah with more than 40 years of experiences.
Then I met Gail Wong, the ex-Wall Street banker turned wealth coach entrepreneur of Live True and Co-Founder of Ladies Investment Club, who found her Midas Touch through learning about having proper personal relationship with money. And she is here to share her golden secret. Join her workshop on 24 October to have an honest conversation about money that is sure to kickstart your own “gold-digging” process.
"More gold has been mined from the thoughts of men than has been taken from the earth." - Napoleon Hill
Indeed. Apart from growing partnerships, I have found many nuggets of gold in writing content on topics varying from psychology to culture and science. Have a read while sipping your coffee. Meanwhile, our video content series with our partner Ange Gardien continues to glow in the spark of our collaboration.
Last but not least, as an old turkish proverb may have it: “If speaking is silver, then listening is gold.” To provide a safe space for anyone to share about their challenges, we have started our free Listening Ear session at ReSET office. Try a session. You speak, we listen, because listening is gold.
After our first successful community outreach event, the Lantern Walk, I am both excited and apprehensive when it comes to events. It was definitely a great thing to have overwhelming responses, and like everything else, preparation is key. Before all that glitz happens on our official launch party in November, our team will be sweating behind the scene to make it even more successful. Glad that we have onboard two new interns to help us! Watch out on our upcoming events for announcement regarding our Official Launch Party.
